Patient Safety Leadership

Strong leadership is pivotal to the successful implementation of change required to improve patient safety.  And, the more people with well developed leadership skills, the greater the effect on change and outcome. With this in mind, the 9 + one program offers a series of four leadership workshops conducted over several months that are intended to help participants with their tasks in leading patient safety in their organization:

• Workshop I   – Interpersonal interactions--how behavior impacts the ability to lead.
• Workshop II – Optimizing leadership and organizational effectiveness to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
• Workshop III – Improving strategic effectiveness in achieving patient safety.
• Workshop IV – Moving forward: Maintaining improved leadership and patient safety.
